Don’t think that I don’t notice that you order three course meals EVERY time we’re splitting the bill and that when you’re alone its just one entree. Or that your glass of wine appears bottomless in groups and full of water when it’s just you. Why are we choosing the $40/50/60 bottle of wine as a group when alone you only scan the bottom of the menu? You didn’t think I noticed that you looked the other way when the bill came up 10% short. Well I did. It’s frustrating. I didn’t eat the steak, I only had one glass of wine and don’t eat pork. Why then am I paying for the dumplings, the 6 bottles of wine and the well done meat?
Eating in groups. Fun until the bill arrives. I think this rant will strike a chord with quite a few people. If it does just remember you’re not alone.
(Note to readers, if you recently ate with me please don’t take offense, it’s the build up of a lifetime’s worth of dinners)
